The pot is belly-shaped (I like it) with shiny stainless-steel body and nice thick base. The pressure cooker is very easy to use - one pressure setting and no more removable thing on top that jiggles (which can easily be misplaced or lost). When pressure inside is reached, a small yellow indicator pops out, thereby helping me accurately time the cooking and adjust the heat. I am pleased with the safety locking handles and the pressure release valve. And if I would need to replace the rubber ring, I can order it online too. Highly recommended!
NOTE: I found out later that Fagor Rapida model was the one sent to me instead of the Splendid I ordered (which is fine by me because Rapida is more expensive). I already have a Splendid 4-quart and I didn't find much difference between the two cookers except for the pot-belly shape of the Rapida.
